About Works for Nature

Home of Nature in Need — a political tracker and action guide for conservation.

Mission

Works for Nature creates web tools to strengthen the field of nature conservation by building its capacity and public support.

Nature in Need

Our first and flagship project is Nature in Need.

Nature in Need is an effort to list, review, and track every major political battle in nature conservation at the federal and state level.

  • Tracker list - Organizes the chaos and gives a birds eye view of the latest political issues in conservation. Filters like location, status, and tags allow you to drill down to what interests you most.
  • Tracker entries - Give a full review of what’s happening, why it matters, and how to get involved,
  • News Updates - After major developments, we write update articles and add them to the tracker.
  • Newsletter - Subscribe and get weekly updates

How the Tracker Works

  1. Step 1
    Scan the tracker

See issues in a single, scannable list with status and quick context.

  2. Step 2
    Open an Action Guide

Each tracker entry explains what’s happening, why it matters, and how to help.

  3. Step 3
    Take action & follow

Subscribe or follow an issue to get timely, targeted updates you can act on.
